Next Thursday we will welcome another mute in the Netherlands by name: Ciarán. According to ANWB, it is therefore better to work from home tomorrow as there may be long traffic jams.

The name Ciarán is so complicated that even the KNMI mentions on its website how to pronounce it: “Kieran”. However, it’s not the name of the storm that will cause major problems.

Heavy rain showers and strong gusts of wind are expected. This can quickly lead to delays on the roads. The ANWB therefore recommends working from home if you do not have to be on the road.

Be especially careful near trees during the storm. These can fall over in strong winds. This can also lead to delays.
