This is the actual range of the Polestar 2 Long Range
Electric cars usually consume more than the manufacturers state. The result is less good range than you might expect. This time we are testing the range of the Polestar 2 Long Range.
The difference between the stated WLTP range and the actual range is large for some vehicles. For this reason, Autovisie tests the actual average range in practice with the air conditioning and radio on. This gives you a better idea of how far you can actually get with an electric vehicle.
The actual range of the Polestar 2
655 kilometers of range for the Polestar 2 is a promise. Especially because the previous model didn’t exactly turn out to be the most efficient electric vehicle of the bunch.
Under ideal conditions (apart from a bit of wind), but with optional 20-inch alloys, the Polestar 2 was once again well off the factory specifications on the standard lap, but we call 467 kilometers a result of 16.9 kWh/100 km more than usable .
Presumably due to the high volume of traffic at our permanent charging station, the stated fast charging power of 205 kW could not be verified. However, previous Polestar models and Volvos with the same technology have delivered very stable performance in all weather conditions, so we have no doubt that this Polestar 2 will do the same again.
A flat charging curve
The shape of the charging curve is more important than the top speed. With still 145 kW at 40 percent “SoC” and 100 kW at 70 percent, one can speak of a fairly flat curve. At an empty charging station, the promised 28 minutes for 10 to 80 percent charge are no problem.
