The all-electric Jeep Avenger is available from 40,500 euros

The all-electric Jeep Avenger is available from 40,500 euros

This is the all-electric Jeep Avenger. Under the skin, it matches the Opel Mokka-e and Peugeot e-2008. It has 156 hp and can travel a maximum of 400 kilometers on one battery charge. The Avenger will be available from Dutch dealers in early 2023 and will cost 40,500 euros.

The press release for the Jeep Avenger states that it was “designed and engineered from the ground up like a true Jeep.” This claim should be taken with a pinch of salt because as a product of the Stellantis Group it uses proven technology. The Avenger is technically a DS 3 E-Tense, Opel Mokka-e or Peugeot e-2008.

Jeep Avenger subcutaneously similar to Opel and Peugeot

At least technically identical to the renewed versions that have yet to be announced at Opel and Peugeot. The Avenger therefore has a 54 kWh battery on board, which supplies power to a 156 hp and 260 Nm electric motor.

The maximum WLTP range is 400 kilometers. Or 550 kilometers if you mainly use the Jeep in urban areas. The compact SUV with 100 kW is charged quickly.

Hill Descent Control and Selec Terrain riding modes

The Avenger doesn’t have all-wheel drive, as there aren’t AWD versions of the Mokka and 2008 either. That said, the Jeep does come standard with Hill Descent Control and Selec Terrain, which allow you to switch the powertrain to Normal modes. Eco, Sport, Snow, Mud and Sand. The Jeep is much shorter than, for example, the 2008 (4.08 meters vs. 4.30 meters), with the smallest possible overhangs for an optimal approach and departure angle.

Familiar X-shape inspired by old-fashioned canisters

An electric car doesn’t need a big grille, of course, but Jeep designers have retained the seven distinctive “slots” that are closed on the Avenger.

From the side, the bulges above the wheel arches are noticeable and at the rear you can see the well-known X-shape of the light units, which is based on an old-fashioned canister.

According to Jeep, it has the largest trunk in its class

According to Jeep, the Avenger’s luggage compartment is the largest in its class. With 380 liters, it is certainly larger than that of the Peugeot e-2008. In the interior itself you will find a total of 34 liters of storage space. Digital instruments are available in two sizes: 7 and 10.25 inches. At the top of the center console is a 10.25-inch touchscreen running Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat and Jeep’s Uconnect system.

Jeep Avenger 1st Edition from 40,500 euros

The Jeep Avenger will initially be launched as a 1st Edition, available in yellow and grey. Both have a black roof. The 1st Edition comes standard with privacy glass, 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear LED lighting, heated seats and a power-opening tailgate. It can be ordered until November 30th and costs at least 40,500 euros.
