Double pain: Ferrari F40 Barbie car crashes
An F40 is one of the crown jewels of Ferrari history. It’s painful to see an accident, especially when someone has already ruined the car by turning it into a pink Barbie car.
Ferrari planned to build only 400 examples of the F40. But after the car was introduced, Maranello immediately received 900 orders. The Italians increased production, which ultimately resulted in 1,315 units rolling off the assembly line. So the Ferrari remains an exclusive model!
Ferrar F40 Barbie spec
It’s painful to see that pink Ferrari F40. In fact, it’s against the brand’s rules. Herbert Appleroth, the former CEO of the brand’s Australian and Asian branches, even told an Australian news site: “It’s a brand rule. No pink Ferraris.”
To make matters worse, the owner opted for BBS-E88 gold wheels.
Without ABS
The American owner of the Ferrari drove his F40 to the Formula Drift event in Seattle. Here the 2.94 liter biturbo V8, which produces 478 hp, proved to be too much for the owner. Or is it the lack of ABS that is causing the Italian Barbie car to slide into the fences?
The damage to the Barbie car doesn’t seem too bad, even though everything on a Ferrari F40 is expensive. The cheapest used car we can currently find in Europe costs 2.38 million euros!
Sjoerd van Bilsen explains in the video below why a Ferrari F40 is such a special and valuable car and why you shouldn’t ruin it.
