You can drive this sports car with an AOW discount
When you retire, you have more time for your hobbies. For car enthusiasts, this may mean purchasing a classic car. But what if you don’t like crafting? We look at what type of sports car you can lease with AOW benefits.
Of course, this article is purely hypothetical. Often (part of) the AOW is used to pay fixed costs and there is no money left over for a car. If you have a large pension, this may be possible.
How much AOW benefit do you receive?
In the Netherlands, people with a partner receive 929.24 euros net in benefits per month. Without tax credit, this amounts to 750.91 euros net per month. Single people receive 1,378.58 euros net per month. Without tax credit it is 1,101.56 euros net per month. Enough for a sports car, right? For now, we are counting on the amount excluding tax credit and holiday pay.
You can drive this sports car
For example, you can use the money from the AOW benefit to lease a Mazda MX-5 with the 184 hp drive. The convertible is a wonderful car for driving on a summer day. The model is also a beautiful sports car. One disadvantage: As you get older, it can become difficult to get out of the low roadster.
For the AOW benefit, you can also lease a sporty Cupra Leon VZ Performance, BMW i4 eDrive35, BMW 128ti or BMW 220i.
AOW car for individuals
If you are single and receive an AOW benefit of 1,101.56 net per month, you can lease sports cars much faster. One of the nicest we can find for the money is a 252hp Alpine A110.
A BMW Z4 Roadster sDrive30i also falls within the budget of your AOW benefit and is a sports car. Add something else and you can also drive an M240i.
The prices are compared with DirectLease with a term of 60 months and 10,000 kilometers per year.
