Dive into the price list: BMW M3 CS – the ultimate driving machine?
The BMW M3 has an even more spectacular variant: the BMW M3 CS. We dive into the price list and compile it according to your wishes.
The BMW 3 Series is a very nice driving car in itself. If you value the car’s sporty character (and have big pockets), then there’s the BMW M3. If you want even more sportiness (and have even bigger bags), you can also grab the BMW M3 CS for a while.
The BMW M3 CS
We have already given you all the details about the BMW M3 CS, and we list the most important facts and figures here. For example the power. The 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine from the “normal” BMW M3 has an even higher output of 404 kW (550 hp) in the CS. Even the M3 Competition has to make do with 40 hp less. Since the CS is also lighter, you can reach 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. In addition, the M Driver’s Pack is standard, meaning that the top speed is not limited to 250 km/h but to 302 km/h.
Like the “normal” M3, the BMW M3 CS also has all-wheel drive, but the distribution of drive power between the front and rear axles can be adjusted as desired. Full power to the rear is one of the options.
Equipment BMW M3 CS
In addition to the things already mentioned, the BMW M3 CS comes standard with the Adaptive M suspension, an active M sport differential, a titanium exhaust system, M Drive Professional, M compound disc brakes, carbon fiber interior and exterior parts, model-specific alloy wheels (for 19-inch , rear 20 inches), yellow daytime running lights, M sports steering wheel and M carbon bucket seats. “Ordinary” things like the BMW Curved Display and a Harman Kardon audio system are always included.
Price BMW M3 CS
It goes without saying that the BMW M3 CS is no bargain. The Dutch starting price is 193,035 euros. That’s more than 3.5 times a fully stock BMW 3 Series, including nearly a stock 3 Series in speeds per minute alone.
exterior decoration
The exterior decoration of the BMW M3 CS is limited and extensive at the same time. The car is finished in Brooklyn Gray as standard, with black available as an option at no extra cost. The regular price list does not offer more colors. However, you can knock on the door with BMW Individual and then almost any color is possible. This is done via a separate configurator (in which only the regular M3 is shown) and without a price quote, so for the sake of simplicity we’ll stick with the regular price list for now. In this case, we opt for Brooklyn Gray, which emphasizes the visual differences to the regular M3 even more.
There are wheel options. This means that the model-specific bronze-colored rims can also be supplied in black on request and at no extra charge. In addition, the car is equipped as standard with track tires “with limited suitability for everyday use”. Sport tires are an option at no extra cost. We opt for black rims with sports tires.
interior design
There is nothing to choose from here. Charcoal Merino leather upholstery with red accents is standard and the only option, as are carbon fiber interior panels.
Separate options BMW M3 CS
Almost everything on the options list is already checked, but here are some additional options. First the options without extra charge: delivery without type designation (why would you want that with this model?), a leather-covered M sports steering wheel (instead of Alcantara) and black brake calipers (instead of red). We don’t choose any of them.
The regular BMW options include steering wheel heating (288 euros, only with leather steering wheel), soundproof windows (213 euros), extra tinted (rear) windows (480 euros), parking assistant (495 euros), driving assistant (61 euros), the BMW Live Cockpit Professional (1,228 euros) and a tailgate that opens electrically and remotely (534 euros) are among the options. We only check the tinted windows.
Specific M things are a reinforced strut bridge made of a silver-colored light alloy (1,175 euros) and carbon-fiber ceramic brakes (9,396 euros) with bronze-colored or high-gloss red calipers. Come on, such an M3 CS is expensive, then that’s allowed too.
Assemble the BMW M3 CS yourself
After checking the few options, we raise the price just above the 200,000 euro mark: now the amount is 204,574 euros. A handsome sum that takes you into the realm of super sports cars. But yes, are they just as practical as a BMW M3 CS? You may have the ultimate driver’s car when it comes to pure sports performance. With the configurator at www.bmw.nl you can put the BMW M3 CS together and see all the prices and equipment.
