The new electric Fiat 600e is very competitively priced
It’s official, the new, all-electric Fiat 600e. The successor to the 500X is known under the skin. It shares its drive technology with the DS 3, Jeep Avenger, Opel Mokka-e and Peugeot e-2008.
We can now dream of the specifications: 156 hp, 54 kWh battery, more than 400 kilometers of range and a maximum charging speed of 100 kW. It’s a great powertrain for the Fiat 600e. Not revolutionary, not above average, just okay.
The Fiat 600e can be charged to 80 percent in half an hour
The 600e sprints to 100 km/h in 9 seconds. At least if you have it in sport mode. In Eco and Normal, the power is squeezed to 108 and 136 hp respectively. Charging to 80 percent battery level takes about half an hour with a quick charger.
No wonder the Fiat is 4.17 meters long. It is therefore the same size as its Stellantis brothers. The trunk offers space for 360 liters of luggage as standard. This is also in line with expectations.
With the half-closed “sleeping eyes” of the Fiat 500e
We think the Fiat 600e’s looks are better than its predecessor, the 500X. A design feature of the smaller 500e are the half-closed “sleeping eyes”. So the headlights.
TomTom navigation on 10.25 inch screen
Inside the 600e we find a 7-inch digital cockpit and a 10.25-inch infotainment system that has TomTom navigation and works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Power windows, automatic climate control and a six-speaker audio system also come standard.
Also available are adaptive cruise control, all-round parking sensors, a reversing camera and an electrically opening and closing tailgate. The Fiat 600e RED – the basic version – is available from 35,990 euros.
“Cheaper” than Opel Mokka-e and Peugeot e-2008
This puts the Fiat below the Opel Mokka-e, which costs 39,749 euros, and the Peugeot e-2008, which costs more than 40,000 euros. Not to mention the DS 3 (over 42,000 euros). The richest 600e, the La Prima, is listed for 40,990 euros.
