Donkervoort F22 Bare Naked saves even more weight with an unusual intervention
Donkervoort showed the F22 in March this year. A car with a bizarre power-to-weight ratio, although it could be even better. This is the F22 Bare Naked!
The brand initially announced that it would build 50 examples of the F22 in Lelystad. However, it soon became known that another 50 would be built.
The regular Donkervoort F22
With a 500 hp and 640 Nm five-cylinder from Audi and a weight of only 750 kilos, the regular Donkervoort F22 is not exactly a slow-driving car. The top speed is 290 kilometers per hour and the car sprints from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.5 seconds, provided you shift fast enough with the manual five-speed gearbox. The F22 doesn’t have six or seven gears because that would make the car about 12 kilos heavier.
The F22 naked
Back to the F22 Bare Naked. Although “naked” doesn’t really sound like a good option for a normal car, a car that’s as understated as possible is exactly what you want when you buy a Donkervoort.
The Bare Naked Donkervoort F22 weighs 20 kilograms less. And it’s not because of the deleted options – they’re not actually on it anyway. This lighter variant does not require lacquer. That saves 10 kilograms! With another set of carbon fiber wheels you save a total of 20 kilograms.
The lighter weight doesn’t affect zero-to-hundred time and top speed. However, the lighter weight makes this version even better on the track.
The Dutch car manufacturer already has orders for the F22 Bare Naked. The first customer lives in the United Arab Emirates. The F22 can be ordered from 245 grand without taxes.
