Formula 1 star Fernando Alonso is cleaning out his garage and selling a very special Ferrari Enzo. The rarity is said to bring in millions.

Fernando Alonso has been in Formula 1 for 22 years and between 2010 and 2014 the now 41-year-old driver drove for Ferrari, but never achieved the success that the two-time world champion achieved at Renault. Alonso received the Ferrari Enzo while driving for the Italian racing team’s Formula 1 team. Now the Ferrari has to clear the field.

Apart from this model being owned by Fernando Alonso, the Ferrari Enzo is already a very exclusive supercar. A total of 400 Ferrari Enzos were built. The last example of this series was built by the Italians especially for Pope John Paul II and ended up being auctioned off for charity. Not all specimens will be alive today. On board you will find a 6.0-liter V12 with 659 hp. You have to keep all those prancing horses under control.

No sense for a two-time Formula 1 world champion. Still, Fernando Alonso didn’t drive it much. Only 4,800 kilometers are on the counter. As if that weren’t reason enough for a jackpot at the auction, this example also bears the chassis number 1. It is therefore not for nothing that a proceeds of more than 5 million euros is expected.

Although Fernando Alonso was not the first to see the checkered flag with the green team, the Spaniard has already secured a podium finish in five of the first six Formula 1 races. Alonso even finished P2 in Monaco, one place behind Max Verstappen.
